Auburn Admissions Updates

Students who have been accepted for admission can now apply for scholarships if they haven’t already done so. The deadline to do this is at 4:45 PM CST on December 15thWe also encourage students to complete the FAFSA by this time as well to make sure that no scholarship or financial aid opportunities slip through the cracks. However, this is not a requirement.

·         Students who have been accepted for admission can also now apply for on campus housing at Auburn. Incoming freshmen are not required to live on campus, but on campus housing is awarded on a first come, first serve basis. If you have students that are still on the fence about attending Auburn, but would like to reserve their housing spot, they are still more than welcome to submit the housing application. This will not lock them in to coming to Auburn next year, and they will still have until May 1, 2020 to submit their enrollment deposits and make their final decision to reserve their seat in next fall’s freshmen class.

·         Accepted students have been assigned an Auburn University email address. Please remind students that this becomes the official means of communication between them and Auburn once they’ve been accepted for admission. It’s important for them to check this on a regular basis. Important dates, deadlines, reminders, information, etc…. will be sent here.

·         For students who completed their application files after our November 1st early action deadline, our next round of admissions decisions will be released in mid-January.

·         The final deadline for incoming freshman to complete their application file as applicants for the Fall 2020 is February 3rdAs a reminder, a completed application file includes the following:

o   Completed admission application on our website
o   $50 application fee or application fee waiver
o   Official high school transcript reflecting grades 9 – 11 (this can include the fall semester of their senior year as well)
o   Official ACT and/or SAT score sent to us directly from the testing agency

*For students to best have their applications matched with their transcripts, it’s best for them to first submit their admissions applications, and then send their transcripts. With this in mind, it’s highly recommended that students apply well before February 3rd to ensure that everything has been received by the deadline*
