Jeff State Ambassadors Scholarship - Due March 1st!!!!!

The Jefferson State Student Ambassador Organization is a prestigious group of individuals that serve as official hosts and hostesses for our college and community. Acceptance into this organization is based on an interview process, completed application, and evaluation from selection committee. Each candidate that submits a completed application will be notified of the status of his or her application, and if he or she is selected for an interview. Students who are chosen as Ambassadors may receive a scholarship (includes tuition and fees) for up to TWO academic years (SIX semesters).

Application Process

DEADLINE for Application is March 1, 2020.

Ambassadors will be chosen by a selection committee based on some of the following criteria: application, interview, GPA, leadership skills, interest in student involvement, and future goals.

What you need to know before applying – Ambassador Required Duties:

  • Maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA or better each semester
  • Abide by the JSCC Ambassador Demerit System and Code of Conduct
  • Be considered a full-time student (12 credit hours per semester excluding the summer term)
  • Host various college events (receptions, graduation ceremonies, conferences, etc.)
  • Work a minimum of 5 hours per week in a designated area on campus (as assigned by the Ambassador Advisors)
  • Coordinate ALL New Student Orientations
  • Conduct campus tours
  • Attend Leadership Conferences and Seminars
  • Attend an annual Ambassador Retreat
  • Help coordinate and participate in fundraising events
  • Travel to various Jefferson State Campuses
  • Be available for daytime, evening and weekend events

 Scholarship Opportunity

Through the selection process, the Ambassadors chosen will receive a semester by semester tuition and fees scholarship for up to TWO academic years (SIX semesters). Books are not included. To maintain this scholarship, Ambassadors must maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA, abide by the Ambassador Code of Conduct, the Demerit System, and remain in good standing with the college and community. Scholarship recipients must enroll full-time at Jefferson State each semester and complete a total of 24 semester hours for the fall and spring semesters.
All current Ambassadors must reapply each year and be evaluated again before the scholarship will be awarded for the second year.
Certain qualified applicants who are willing may serve as volunteer Ambassadors without a scholarship.

Additional Auburn Admissions Information

The Auburn University fall 2021 admissions application is open! Here are a few things you should know: Auburn University has joined the Common Application. Auburn University launches the Common Application on Monday, August 17. (The Auburn University freshman admissions application opened on our website August 15). Our process is flexible. Applicants will receive a holistic review and be evaluated with the either a test score or another supplemental component. If applicants have tested and feel the score will be a positive supplement to their application, they may submit it as their supplemental document.
