Pre-Apprenticeships in Welding, Machine and Industrial Maintenance

Central Six and partners at Jefferson State, Lawson State, 58 Inc, CAPTE, and the Alabama Office of Apprenticeship have collaborated to offer manufacturing pre-apprenticeship programs in welding, machining, and industrial maintenance beginning this upcoming fall. Participants in the pre-apprenticeship programs will learn the fundamental skills needed to succeed in a manufacturing environment and will have the opportunity to interview with participating apprenticeship employers in the summer of 2021.

Do you know a recent high school graduate or someone looking for the start of a new career? A manufacturing pre-apprenticeship could be the perfect opportunity! Please see the attached flyer and feel free to share it and the following information with anyone who may be interested. You can visit our website – www.centralsix.org/manufacturing-pre-apprenticeship/ - and read this Bham Now article on the pre-apprenticeships to learn more about each program and apply! Applications for the pre-apprenticeship will be open through the month of July.

If you have any questions about the manufacturing pre-apprenticeship or want to learn more about being an employer partner in the industrial maintenance apprenticeship program, please reach out to me at mbell@centralsix.org or on my cell (334) 303-0591.
