Mercedes-Benz Opportunity!

Dear educators:             I hope that you and your family are safe during these very unique and challenging times. I realize that just about everyone’s world has been turned upside down during these last several weeks and even though the students are not physically attending classes, you are all very busy, I’m sure. At Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, we also took steps in order to make sure that we were doing our part to flatten the curve, so to speak. Beginning on March 23 rd , we temporarily shut down production for a period of 5 weeks with a return scheduled for Monday, April 27 th .   The closing of all high schools, within the State of Alabama, also impacted our recruiting efforts in reference to our awesome student training programs. Our application process is still open for the 2020 programs, but is scheduled to close at the end of this month. Even though the current situation has created some challenges for i...

Auburn Admissions Updates - Seniors and Juniors

Good Afternoon! I hope all of you are doing well, and that you and your families are staying safe and healthy at this time! I wanted to provide you with a few updates that will pertain to your current seniors and juniors. First off, the deadline for current seniors to submit their enrollment deposits and accept their scholarship offers has been extended to  June 1, 2020. We have also received quite a few questions about how we’ll be evaluating ACT/SAT scores, AP Exam Scores and if we’ll be going test optional for the upcoming school year. We don’t currently have a definitive answer to all of this, but our office is monitoring the situation on a daily basis to be as realistic and flexible with students as we possibly can. One resource that you may find useful at this time is the link below to our COVID-19 FAQ’s page on our Admissions Website. This will provide many answers to some of our most asked questions at this time.        ...

Dual Enrollment/Accelerated Paperwork Update

From Mrs. Emmerich: Dual Enrollment students who want to continue in the fall semester only have to submit a signature page for next fall/spring. If dual enrollment students want to take a summer class, they will need to fill out the Accelerated student paperwork (paper forms) and submit those, along with their ID and an updated transcript in order to register for summer. THEN, if they want to continue to fall semester as dual enrollment - they will need to go online and complete a new admissions application as a dual enrollment student (again) and send the signature page and ID to me (again). Anytime a student changes their admissions status (from DE to accelerated and back, for example), they have to do a new admissions application. Let me know if you need help! Ms. C
