Auburn Admissions Updates - Seniors and Juniors

Good Afternoon!

I hope all of you are doing well, and that you and your families are staying safe and healthy at this time! I wanted to provide you with a few updates that will pertain to your current seniors and juniors.

First off, the deadline for current seniors to submit their enrollment deposits and accept their scholarship offers has been extended to June 1, 2020.

We have also received quite a few questions about how we’ll be evaluating ACT/SAT scores, AP Exam Scores and if we’ll be going test optional for the upcoming school year. We don’t currently have a definitive answer to all of this, but our office is monitoring the situation on a daily basis to be as realistic and flexible with students as we possibly can. One resource that you may find useful at this time is the link below to our COVID-19 FAQ’s page on our Admissions Website. This will provide many answers to some of our most asked questions at this time.

Lastly, I wanted to make you all aware of a new resource we are offering for both admitted seniors and prospective students. You may recall from a previous email that I mentioned we were now offering two virtual information sessions per day, as well as a new virtual tour. In addition to this, we are going to begin offering Virtual Student Panels on Tuesday, April 28th at 12:00 PM CST. These will take place every Tuesday and Thursday for the time being, and will be an opportunity for students to virtually connect with some of our current students at Auburn and get their questions answered from someone other than an Auburn employee. To sign up, just have students click on the link below and select “Virtual Options.”

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask! I don’t have definitive answers to everything at the moment, but I can confidently say that we are doing everything possible to reasonably work with students and families at this time the best we can.

As I mentioned above, I wish you all nothing but the best!

Have a great evening!

Billy
